We received a request a fortnight ago (in the Queen’s English, a fortnight is half a synodic month, 14.77 days, the mean time between a Full Moon and a New Moon) asking about the Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto T-square. In this case, it’s more than just the three planets that we have for the traditional T-square.
If we use the wheel above for the Cancer Full Moon, look at the celestial activity that’s occurring currently. Whenever two planets (or celestial bodies if you prefer) align on the same number of degrees, there’s an aspect being made between them.
His question was about the T-square, but with the Full Moon filling in the missing nitch, we now have a Grand Cardinal Cross.
The magic number currently is 22. Alignments are strongest when they’re exact. When you have planets around the same number of degrees, they’re like little electrical charges (well, maybe not so little) that go off like Chinese firecrackers on a string.
Working our way around the chart, let’s look:
The Sun is 22 degrees of Capricorn.
Chiron is 21 degrees of Pisces.
Uranus is 21 degrees of Aries.
The Moon is 22 degrees of Cancer.
Jupiter is 22 degrees of Libra.
Saturn is 22 degrees of Sagittarius.
Juno is 22 degrees of Sagittarius.
Pluto and Mars are close by at 17 and 18 degrees respectively. Because they are not as tight, they are also not as influential as the others but still add to the coloring of the mix as long as they are within orb.
Each of these celestial bodies are making an aspect to every other body at 22 degrees, which means there’s a whole bees nest of activity at work here. Over the last few days in our T-square, the Sun has been busy conjuncting Pluto while squaring Uranus and Jupiter. This would be like thrusting a stick into the nest, and then giving it a good shake!
How do you think the bees will react?
We are seeing our entire government switching gears as Congress attempts to approve the president-elect’s new cabinet members, one after the other, at double time and with some of them never having had any kind of government position before. With the Sun squaring and Jupiter opposing Uranus as core alignments of this configuration, we wanted thepeople to be empowered, but not THESE people.
So what’s been happening over these last few weeks in the media? Are we up to a shooting-a-day now? Urban murders in Chicago, Black Lives Matter, church shootings, the list goes on and on.
Laws are being challenged and re-written (Jupiter opposing Uranus), while foreign relations realign. What do you think about Putin and Trump having a relationship? Is it constructive for the country or outrageous? China owns us. North Korea is testing long range missiles. Britain moved out of the EU. Central Italy can’t stop shaking.
Because the Sun and Pluto are in Capricorn, this is being played out at the administrative levels of government. With Jupiter and Uranus in Libra and Aries, major changes are in the works. Because these two signs each square Capricorn, these can be hard or difficult professional changes.
And the hard aspects are the predominance of the alignments here, but there are some smooth aspects at work as well. Saturn and Juno, at 22 degrees of Sagittarius, are trining the Uranus Ceres conjunction in Aries. Some of these international changes will actually turn out to be good for the long-run as we recalibrate some components of international law. Because it’s Saturn, it will take a while for these conditions to materialize, but key individuals with mucho personality (Uranus in Aries) will be instrumental in helping us to reshape the political future.
Saturn is also sextiling Jupiter in Libra, which again underscores the international component of trade and cultural interaction.
Certainly, there are more hard than smooth aspects with all these alignments, but the new administration will stir folks to action, with Uranus (the people, the New Age, science and electronics, the World Wide Web, technology, etc.) working like a cattle prod to shock people into awareness.
