End Game

Posted on August 8th, 2021 by Don Cerow

We stand at the end of the Age of Pisces. Yes, Aquarius has begun but these two currents overlap (as did the Ages of Aries and Pisces) generating the political, environmental, racial, and gender conflicts we see happening in the world all around us.

Saturday evening, just before this New Moon, Jupiter paralleled Neptune as Mercury inconjuncted Neptune. The major themes (Jupiter) being released are stirring people deeply (Neptune), but they are misguided (Mercury inconjunct) in their implementation. Our vision of where we are headed lies askew. There are things we don’t know (Neptune) that are affecting the final equation, which, if we did know, would change how we feel (and what we would do) about the outcome. It’s time to step back, observe what is happening, but don’t make any finite hardcore decisions about how to handle it yet. Part of the rebuilding the the nation’s infrastructure is moving us towards the future, but a good portion of the roads and bridges are reinforcing the oil industries’ hold on the economy well into the future.

The melting icebergs in Greenland, floods in Germany, 160,000 protesters in France, the highway tunnel flooding out in China, fires and record temperatures in the west and mudslide in Pakistan are but this week’s adjustments to a larger transition. If legend predicts correctly there’s supposed to be one grand finale which occurs and marks the end of these collective tragedies, either an off the charts earthquake or being struck by some kind of meteoric fireball.

      Then God’s anger is exhausted.

However, having said that, those solutions which more closely reflect the ideology of Aquarius will ultimately show us the path home. In the meantime we must forebear the End Game, putting up with the twists and turns that life has to offer, treating and helping each other like the children of God that we all are. This is a time of letting go.

As Akhilleus says to Priam after the heart rending losses each of them has gone through,

“Then gods out of the sky sent you this bitterness:
the years of siege, the battles and the losses.
Endure it, then. And do not mourn forever
for your dead son. There is no remedy.
You will not make him stand again. Rather
await some new misfortune to be suffered.”

And remember the joy they brought to your life.
