NEPTUNE AND HIS TRIDENT

Posted on August 14th, 2015 by Don Cerow

There’s a powerful alignment coming up at the end of September that’s likely to knock the US on its heels. Retrograde Neptune will be squaring the US Ascendant/Descendant axis, stirring mud and sediment from the metaphorical ocean’s bottom, disturbing our visual clarity.

There’s a storm a-brewin’.

Let’s look at some examples.

Because this is the retrograde pass, Neptune has already made this alignment once this year, on the 9th of March. This is the second pass. At that time we were under pressure to come to a nuclear deal with Iran by the end of the month. As if to rile both Iran AND the President, 47 Republicans senators sent a letter to Iran warning that the negotiated deal might not pass muster through the Senate.

How’s that for stirring the waters?

Talk about a lack of faith.

Half a Neptune cycle ago (82 years), Neptune was also squaring the US axis during March and April of 1933 when the markets reached their trough. The New Deal was being applied to the Great Depression, the Fireside Chats begun. This was all a part of FDR’s first 100 days in office, and presidents ever since have been judged by this measuring stick. What did they manage to achieve in their first 100 days? At that time FDR had a huge amount of political capitol and Congress gave him whatever he wanted. Looking at the larger picture, not all his legislation stuck. Some programs were later disbanded for lack of Congressional Funds. Some were even struck down by the Supreme Court.

Some continue to this day.

The New Deal transformed the Democratic Party into the majority, and has shaped political strategies ever since. Quantities of gold had to be sold to the government in a highly questionable way. Some programs put people to work, such as the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps), and were highly visible to the general public.

It all had to do with our perception of our securities systems and our hope and belief (our faith) in government. A mixed bag of legislation, some of it helpful, some of it hopeful, was being enacted to begin to stem the crisis of the collapsing economy and banks.

In God we trust.

Or not.
