Like stones placed along a path, so individual alignments help to contour the course of the incoming New Age. This is the week where we begin to see just how Time will craft a few of these colorful threads. Over the next ten days or so some of our millennial Spring Cleaning begins in earnest. This is the start of a swath of celestial activity that has become collectively known as the Grand Cardinal Cross.

Are we ready?

Let’s find out.

The Lamp of the Night builds to its greatest power at the time of the Full Moon, but just as it reaches its peak this month, it’s pre-empted by the eclipse. The light that does manage to illuminate the Moon must bend its way around the Earth allowing us to contemplate our own dark side, our collective shadow.

That’s why the Moon turns from ‘silver’ to ‘blood red’. When Mars comes closest to the Earth at opposition is when it seems largest and brightest to us here on Earth.

It’s bigger. It reflects more. Since oppositions tend to involve two different vantage points attempting to reconcile their differences, a brighter Mars would have indeed signaled times when folks were somewhat more testy and confrontational than  It’s probable that a Moon of similar color would conjure similar predictions.

Libra stands for justice and the establishment of law. Following this sign and the eclipse, there’s a hole in the fabric and we may be in line for a period of lawlessness.

True Justice is the mother of Peace.

There are those who claim that because these eclipse Moons coincide with some of the important Jewish holidays, a number of events in Hebrew History seem to connect themselves to the children of Abraham.

NASA has confirmed that there has only been seven sets of a series of four Blood Moons (total eclipses) in a row that have occurred on Jewish Feast Days since 1 A.D, but if this is really a relevant pattern, then there should have been events coinciding with the other alignments of four, together with the one that will be coming up over the course of this year.

In the last two thousand years, four Blood Moons in a row have been acquainted with a.) 1492, the year Judaism was outlawed in Spain, b.) 1948 is the Year of War and Israeli independence, and, c.) 1968 was the Six-Day War, the year when the regular armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq lined up and invaded

The Jewish Talmud (book of tradition / Interpretation) says; “When the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel. If its face is as red as blood, (it is a sign that) the sword is coming to the world.”  Well, this pretty much dovetails with astrological predictions involving eclipses. Solar eclipses were particularly worrisome to kings, as they hinted at the termination of their life, or the life of their kingdom. With the Grand Cross in Cardinal Signs, my way or the highway is not an inappropriate interpretation. The sword is a sign of might makes right. Eclipses were a bad omen for many people.

But let me also inject here that if you’re going to use a lunar calendar that places many of its most important feast days on the dates of the New and the Full Moons…

…it’s likely that sooner or later, eclipses are going to catch up with them.  With both the Moon and Mercury setting off the Grand Cardinal Cross in the last 24 hours, and with Pluto pivoting in the last 12, this marks the start of the changes.

This is a time of transition.

Let’s see what we can do to make peace with it.
