Don Cerow’s planetarium show on the archetypal roots of
zodiacal symbolism has been presented from California to
Florida – from sea to shining sea! The symbol of the dragon is the
vestige of a formerly world-wide system of encoded, or esoteric,
knowledge found in the stars.

Whether as Ti’amat of the Babylonians, Ladon of the Greeks, the
Imperial Dragon of China, Thunder Bird of the Lakota or even
the ‘feathered serpent’ or flying snake of the Mayans of Central
America [not to mention the Dragon’s Head and Tail with which
astrologers work aka the Lunar Nodes], we find this image
omnipresent around every ‘corner’ of the globe, across various
cultures and throughout a vast span of recorded history.
If the Dragon is a fictional creation, then what is the source of its
universal appeal?

This presentation retells a number of creation myths and offers a
delightfully simple answer to this intriguing question while also
examining the origins of many modern zodiacal signs and their
significations! You’ll have to see it to believe it!
