THE 8th SEAL

Posted on March 27th, 2017 by Don Cerow

Well, the proofs, editing and adjustments have been made. The book is on its way to the printers and will be available for mailing in May. You can pre-order the work through Amazon or Red Wheel/Weiser, and before you know it, a hard copy of The 8th Seal will find its way to your door.

Pictured above is the Vatican on the evening of the day the Pope announced that he quit. For years Athena had been predicting that, as the Vernal Equinox aligned with Omega Piscium, it would represent the end of the Age of Pisces. From Revelation,  “Flashes of lightning were coming from the throne, and the sound of peals of thunder, and in front of the throne there were seven flaming lamps burning, the seven Spirits of God.”

…and from the book, page 105,

“The Vernal Equinox” [here symbolized as 'the throne'] “is a source of thunder and lightning. These are the calling cards of the Sky God. When stars cross the Vernal Equinox, sparks fly. When the Vernal Equinox aligns with significant celestial triggers, discharges of power are released—either literally as bolts of lightning, or as life-events that suddenly “rain down” on the mortals here on Earth below. The seven flaming lamps are the seven visible planets, grouping the Sun and Moon in with the other five visible moving celestial bodies. These are the seven Spirits of God.”

To be honest, I had thought that the manifestation of this event would be more metaphorical. It turned out that it was literal. It is my understanding that the image on the front cover was captured on a cell phone, and that there were actually two strikes to the Vatican during a thunderstorm on the evening of the day the Pope said he quit.

      One of my favorite themes in working with Revelation is the historical analysis. If the lightning strike listed above is indeed The 8th Seal, we can look back to another trigger, one which combined the star aligning with the 2nd Seal and the King Snake or Dragon outlined in ‘When the Dragon Wore the Crown‘.  As we established in that work many of the Creation Myths of various cultures were an interweaving of North and East symbolically, of the North Celestial Pole and the Vernal Equinox. As civilizations moved into the third millennium BC the world was astronomically and mythologically entwined by serpents. Draco was the guardian of the North Celestial Pole as Alpha Draconis climbed to the highest latitude of the skies as life’s North Star; Scorpio and Serpens dominated the Autumnal Equinox, and the Hydra swam along the Earth’s equator. Astronomically speaking, the Earth was indeed wrapped by serpents.

Hannibal’s war with Rome was the most formidable ancient martial conflict in the Mediterranean world. In The 8th Seal, we ground each of the Seven Seals astronomically, and then examine them historically, unearthing what might be revealed by written records. In the following example the Great Serpent, the mythological image guarding the North Celestial Pole, was used to help describe what would happen as the Vernal Equinox paralleled (aligned) with xi Piscium, the Second Seal. We see this pattern being used over and over again by various cultures, interweaving North and East to describe their time and place in history.

From Gades Hannibal returned to the army’s quarters in New Carthage, and then proceeded by way of Etovissa to the river Ebro and the coast. Here, it is reported, a youth of divine aspect was seen by him in his sleep, who said, “that he was sent by Jupiter as the guide of Hannibal into Italy, and that he should, therefore, follow him, nor in any direction turn his eyes away from him.”

At first he followed in terror, looking no where, either around or behind: afterwords, through the curiosity of the human mind, when he resolved in his mind what that could be on which he was forbidden to look back, he could not restrain his eyes;
then he beheld behind him a serpent of wonderful size moving along with an immense destruction of trees and bushes, and after it a cloud following with thunderings from the skies; and that then inquiring “what was that great commotion, and what the cause of the prodigy,” he heard in reply: “ that it was the devastation of Italy: that he should continue to advance forward, nor inquire further, but suffer the fates to remain in obscurity.

Livy- The History of Rome, Chapter XXI paragraph xxii.

Not only do we have Serpent andSeal (North and East), but also another lightning strike, consistent with the themes we have been examining “and after it a cloud following with thunderings from the skies.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

Astronomically, mythologically and astrologically, The 8th Sealrepresented the boundary stone separating the Age of Pisces from the Age of Aquarius. On February 11th, 2013, the Vernal Equinox aligned with Omega Piscium, fulfilling Revelation’s prophecy,

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end…”

…of the Age of Pisces.
